Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill (October 26, 1883 – November 8, 1970) was an American author in the area of the new thought movement who was one of the earliest producers of the modern genre of personal-success literature. He is widely considered to be one of the great writers on success.His most famous work, Think and Grow Rich (1937), is one of the best-selling books of all time (at the time of Hill’s death in 1970, Think and Grow Rich had sold 20 million copies). Hill’s works examined the power of personal beliefs, and the role they play in personal success. He became an advisor to President Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933 to 1936. “What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve” is one of Hill’s hallmark expressions. How achievement actually occurs, and a formula for it that puts success in reach of the average person, were the focal points of Hill’s books.

Modern social relationships are far more complicated than they were just twenty years ago, when the only methods of communication included face-to-face conversation, the telephone and the written word. The social environment has also gained additional levels of complexity thanks to social networking sites such Facebook and Twitter. In order to brave this new world of social interaction, you’ll need excellent social abilities.

We all have hopes and dreams – some realistic and some that may end up being unobtainable. Fulfilling aspirations is the realization and accomplishment of those hopes and dreams. They bring a sense of accomplishment, a sense of pride.

The key to personal development is understanding the key differences between obtainable and unobtainable goals. Once you’ve defined your aspirations that are obtainable and within your control, you can move towards the step of taking action. It will be at this point that you will need to implement a defined and well thought out approach to achieving each of your specific aspirations.

In your quest for personal development, you’ll spend some time thinking about the things that you do well, as well as certain things that you could do better. These are your strengths and talents. It is important to objectively, and with an unbiased mind, evaluate your true strengths and talents. In addition, it is important to evaluate your weaknesses as well. By truly understanding your strengths and talents, while at the same time, identifying your weaknesses, you will be better able to develop an approach that will yield a more well-rounded set of skills and talents.

Spiritual development is growth pertaining to one’s spiritual identity in evolution from spiritual infancy to adulthood through maturation. In this process, the secular mind decreases as the sacred increases. Spiritual development does not offer a degree at the completion of predetermined requirements but is an ongoing process throughout one’s life. The definition of spiritual development is best explained by how it is achieved.

First, one must recognize that they are in need of positive augmentation in their religious status. Next, one must understand the importance of transformation in their life. Then, one must educate themselves on their beliefs through comprehensive and guided instruction in the testament by which their spirituality is rooted. Finally, one must dedicate themselves to continual commitment to their spiritual growth.

The journey toward spiritual development cannot be achieved without constant prayer (focused petition for enlightenment) and spiritual support (provides additional prayers and experience in their own journey).

The law of attraction is the name given to the belief that “like attracts like” and that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, one can bring about positive or negative results. This belief is based upon the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from pure energy, and the belief that like energy attracts like energy.One example used by a proponent of the law of attraction is that if a person opened an envelope expecting to see a bill, then the law of attraction would “confirm” those thoughts and contain a bill when opened. A person who decided to instead expect a check might, under the same law, find a check instead of a bill.


Although there are some cases where positive or negative attitudes can produce corresponding results (principally the placebo and nocebo effects), there is no scientific basis to the law of attraction….
